It’s not the events in our life that shape us, but our beliefs to what these events mean. Why is it that two people can experience the same situation but react completely different to it?
Set a baseline standard of what you will accept in life and commit to it. If you want to be making a specific salary, then set a goal and work towards it every day. If you want to have so much free time in a given day, then set a goal and brainstorm ways to achieve it.
Most people fail in life because they major in minor things.
If you expect the worst, you will get the worst; if you expect the best, you will get the best.
“Be kind. Everybody is fighting a tough battle.”- Philo Judaeus. When you learn to understand that everyone has their own fears, worries, and struggles in life, you can become more selfless. Who is to say that your problems are greater than others?
Do not let your anger control you. If you are in a bad state, find some way to calm down. Leave the situation entirely if you must. Words and actions justified by anger are not worth your time.
Every day, you should have the goal to increase your quality of life. Never become stagnant. Those who sit idle in their faith, in their business, and in their life will become hollow and waste away. Create substance. With the technology available, the world is your oyster. You have limitless possibilities every day to grow yourself.
Everyone has the ability to shape themselves. This is the beauty of free will. Every day, you are presented with the opportunity to take action and create your own destiny.
Habits are formed by repetition. The repetition tells the brain to set up neural connections in your body. In order to break a habit, you need to stop indulging in the behavior to interrupt the pattern.
One of my favorite phrases to repeat on a daily basis is, “I believe God gives me power to attain what I really want.” Try saying it for yourself and watch your attitude change.
